Ethical Fashion · MUD Jeans

After my last Ethical Fashion post I saw a lot of you were interested in the topic. I do have to say that it’s super exciting to be passionate about something so big and powerful and seeing so many of you interested about it, it fills my heart of joy.

So today I want to talk about MUD jeans, another cool brand that dreams about a world with zero waste. Their philosophy is based on the circular economy. This mindset led them to crate Lease jeans, a new concept of wearing jeans.

They realized that most of the jeans we have in our wardrobe are barely worn. So they came up with this idea: instead of owning a pair of jeans for the rest of your life, you can just use them until you want to change them for another pair. After a year or so, when your jeans are worn out, you have the option to send them back to the company and try a new pair. With the old pair they reuse all the materials to create a new pair of jeans and they save water, resources and waste. How cool is that?

I own a pair and I love them, they have this 90’s vintage look that I like, they are also super comfy and made of cotton, 100% vegan (without leather labels).

Buying ethically matters. The fashion industry is one of the largest in the world. Fast fashion is like junk food, it pleases the consumer society while taking advantage of the weak and needy.

Let’s take it easy, let’s take it slow. Let’s keep in mind that our clothes are sewn by humans that, like us, deserve to be treated with respect. This large industry also affects the environment (especially when dying the clothes). So, ask yourselves: Who made it? Do I really need this? We are the ones who have the power to change things and we can do so much by taking little actions in our daily lifes.

“When you buy something made by a person. There is something special there, and you can feel it. The conciousness with which a thing is made is often more important than the thing itself.”

P.S. I wasn’t paid to write this post. As I’ve mentioned in other posts, I just love to help passionate people to make their dreams come true. xx
